This annual camel fair takes place in the month of November.

Pushkar is small desert part of thar desert and surronded by small vilaages. safari is one of the best amusment in pushkar. we organise night safari starting 3pm afternoon and going threw many small vilaages to have a look at the rural village life and few rose and other flower gardens as well as farming in rajasthan after sun set a stop over in the mid of the desert and then over night stay along with meals and a lot of drinks and snacks. a night stay under the stars is a magical experience in the desert. next beautiful morning with the chirps of beautiful birds around having snacks along with tea coffe and hot drinks. a little camel ride with overlooking the sunrise from the desert and we make our way back to pushkar town.
Pushkar Fair is the major event of the year. This biggest animal gets together held's in October or November (according to full moon) is also known as the camel fair pushkar. Approximately 50000 cattle's participate in the market. Mostly camels but also cows, horses, goats sheep's and buffalos come for buying and selling in this animal exchange market.
Pushkar camel fair held's for 7days and this huge festival is organized by the local government and merchants. There are several cultural as well as rural programs organized by the tourism department of Rajasthan for both locals as well as tourists who visit the town.
