After a scenic drive of around 2.5 to 3 hours through the Rajasthani countryside vibes, you’ll arrive in Bundi. The town will surprise you the moment you enter. Here’s what you can explore in Bundi –
Bundi Palace – perched on a hillside overlooking the entire town. The palace was built by the Hada Rajput rulers, a real masterpiece of the Rajputana style of architecture.

Nawal Sagar Lake – right in the heart of Bundi lies Nawal Sagar Lake, an artificial lake that adds a beautiful, calming centrepiece to the town.
Taragarh Fort – one of the oldest forts in Rajasthan is settled in a rugged, atmospheric, and largely unrestored neighbourhood.

If possible, plan a visit during the Bundi Utsav, an annual cultural festival held in November. It’s the best time to see its authentic side and experience the Rajasthani traditions.
There’s a reason why Rudyard Kipling, the author of The Jungle Book, chose to spend time in Bundi and mention it with such intense feeling. And honestly, you’ll feel it closely.
Bundi is still Rajasthan’s least explored destination, so next time when you are seeking an excursion, don’t hesitate to explore this town.
